Tempered Glass

Tempered Glass is made from scratch-resistant gorilla glass and is far denser than plastic. It is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the interior into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to shatter into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as ordinary annealed glass does. They are common accessories for mobile devices and in their look are quite similar to plastic covers. Tempered Glass strength is increased and this makes it gain a number of benefits and uses, especially its durability as compared with the normal glass. Its less prone to scratches than ones made from plastic.
